The figures above are historical performance statistics, not a live trading record; past performance does not indicate future results. Return = net profit ÷ starting capital, not compounded, and excludes deposits/withdrawals. Max equity drawdown is the largest decline in account equity (including open floating loss), not just closed-trade drawdown. Ask us for a demo account to see live results.

Overview

Trend Star is a trend-following scalper built around the M5 timeframe. It uses four EMAs (13/21/34/55) as the base trend read, with a seven-dimension confluence filter as the entry gate; it scales up by multiplier in trend direction to amplify gains, and grids in against the trend, layer by layer, to average down cost. Average-price take-profit, a trailing stop, and a global-dollar close-all round out a complete entry → scaling → exit → defense loop.

Data on this page comes from live demo-account trade records, covering 2026-02-03 to 2026-06-02 (119 days) on XAUUSD, 7,626 trades total, with max drawdown around 8.1%. Past performance does not indicate future results and is for reference only.

Key features

Seven-dimension confluence filter

CCI/DeMarker, Bulls/Bears, Gator, MACD, ADX, KDJ, fractals — seven filters, each independently toggleable, to tune the entry rhythm to your preference.

Trend + counter-trend dual module

Trend direction scales up with momentum, counter-trend direction grids in to average down — built to handle both trending and ranging markets.

Average-price take-profit + trailing stop

Average-price take-profit locks in overall profit; the trailing stop follows new highs, giving dual protection.

Global dollar close-all

Once the set global-profit dollar amount is hit, the whole batch exits and locks in the gain; an optional global max-loss cap (off by default) can also be enabled.

Batch cooldown

After a full close, the EA enters a cooldown period to avoid chasing straight back in and stacking up consecutive losses.

Max spread and lot limits

A max-spread parameter filters extreme quotes; a max-lot parameter caps how large any single scaled-in trade can get.

Entry logic

The system reads trend direction from the alignment of EMA13/21/34/55, then the enabled filters vote together on momentum, strength, and oscillation conditions; only when multiple filters confirm together is a signal treated as valid.

CheckDescription
Spread filterChecks live spread against the max-spread limit before entry; pauses new orders if exceeded.
Cooldown protectionNo new orders open within the cooldown window after a full close, avoiding an immediate re-entry.

Position management

The trend direction scales up layer by layer at the set spacing and trend-scaling multiplier to amplify gains; the counter-trend direction grids in layer by layer at the grid spacing and counter-trend multiplier to average down cost. Layer count and per-trade lot size on both sides are bounded by the max-lot parameter; the system has no default cap on scaling layers, so actual risk grows the longer a move continues — assess your own capital tolerance accordingly.

Exit and risk-control priority

The system runs multiple stop-loss and profit-protection layers, checked top-down every cycle.

OrderMechanismTrigger (brief)Action
1Spread filterSpread exceeds the max-spread limit.Pauses new orders and scaling.
2Global take-profitTotal floating profit hits the set global-profit dollar amount.Closes the whole batch to lock in profit.
3Global stop-lossTotal floating loss hits the set global-loss dollar amount (off by default, must be enabled manually).Closes the whole batch to cut losses.
4Average-price take-profitPosition average price reaches the set take-profit point distance.Closes the whole batch.
5Trailing stopActivates once floating profit reaches the trailing-stop activation distance.Advances the stop following the trailing-stop step size.

Risk tier and capital guidance

This EA includes a counter-trend grid-scaling module, has no default cap on scaling layers, and the global stop-loss is off by default — an extreme one-directional move can produce substantial floating losses. Risk tier: Aggressive. The capital/leverage figures below are only a reference range and must be adjusted to your actual scaling parameters and risk tolerance.

Usage notes

This strategy includes counter-trend grid scaling — extreme one-directional moves can cause significant floating losses. Always set a global stop-loss cap yourself.
Your filter combination directly affects entry frequency and signal quality — start with the default combination and observe before adjusting further.
The historical performance shown here comes from a live demo account, and the sample period is limited — past performance does not indicate future results; assess your own risk tolerance carefully.
